Edmodo
The Edmodo interface looks a lot like Facebook. The sign up process is easy and it is free to use and free of ads. It It allows teachers and students to share thoughts and ideas on a communal wall. There is a group security code so that only the class can see the posts. There is no private communication allowed between students. The site also lets you to give tests and will grade T/F and multiple choice ones for you.
Live Binders
Live Binders are a virtual 3 ring binders that you can use to store all your digital content. This is another free program that is easy to sign up for and pretty easy to use. No time to make your own binder? It is worth signing up just to check out other people's creations. There is a wealth of amazing information here.
Sweet Search
Sweet Search is a search engine that is geared to students. It is filtered for content. But the best part is the way results are reported - they are grouped by page and then you can select which pieces of the bigger page you want to view. There is also more description of page content so you may spend less time searching.
Evernote
Evernote is a program that lets you make notes and archive them. Notes can be written, websites, photos - even voice. The nifty part is that you can put Evernote on all your gadgets and whatever you write/collect on one will be available on all the others.
EasyBib
EasyBib is another bibliography (think citationmachine) maker. It does MLA formatting for free - you have to pay for APA and Turabian. It fills in more for you than some of the other tools.
WordPress
WordPress is a free blogging tool. it is feature rich and provides templates and samples. It does, however, create public blogs that everyone can see. You would would have to investigate privacy issues if you would like to do this with students.
KidBlog
KidBlog offers secure blog space and easy to fill in formats for student blogs. It is free and probably more suitable for younger bloggers than older ones.

eThemes contains a large collection of themed links that integrate technology and learning. It was created to save you time in searching for appropriate websites for your classes.

Roobrix converts a rubric score to a percent grade.
Good Reads
Good Reads is a social media site for book lovers. You create an account and then add books that you have read. You can rate and review those books. You can also read reviews that others have written. The site also makes suggestions for other books to read based on the books you have entered.

Socrative
